If Google Authenticator is unavailable, use Pionex’s Lost 2-factor authentication flow to reset it. The exact path depends on whether you can still sign in. Do not create a second account or share your password, authenticator secret or one-time codes unless the official recovery instructions specifically require a new verified account.
Contents
If you cannot sign in
- On the Pionex sign-in screen, enter the account and password.
- Select Lost 2-factor authentication.
- Read the instructions, choose Start and complete the available verification steps.
- Select the Google authentication reset option when prompted.
- Complete and submit the account questionnaire.
On the app, Pionex currently places the same recovery entry after Pionex, Sign in, Next Step, then Lost 2-factor authentication. Labels can change, so follow the current authenticated screen.
If you can still sign in
Open the account Security settings and choose the Google Authenticator reset or unbind control. Complete the requested password, email, SMS or identity checks. Do not remove a working security method until you are ready to bind the replacement.
| Situation | Next action |
|---|---|
| Cannot sign in | Use Lost 2-factor authentication from the login screen |
| Still signed in | Use the Google Authenticator control under Security |
| Password also lost | Use Pionex’s separate password and 2FA recovery instructions |
| Reset form unavailable | Use the official manual-reset or Help Center request path |
Review time and withdrawal restriction
Pionex says a successfully submitted self-service reset application is reviewed within 48 hours, with the result sent by email or SMS. After the Google Authenticator reset takes effect, withdrawals are restricted for 72 hours. The restriction is a security control and cannot be treated as proof that the reset failed.
Prepare the account details
The questionnaire may ask for the registration year and month, the account nickname or username, and a trading pair used with a bot. Check original registration emails or SMS messages and provide the most accurate information available.
Follow Pionex’s current lost-access Google Authenticator guide. If the automated process is unavailable, use the linked manual-reset instructions or submit a Help Center request.
