How Take Profit Works on the Pionex Grid Trading Bot

Last updated: August 24, 2026

Take Profit on the Pionex Grid Trading Bot is a closing condition. When price rises to the Taking Profit Price you configured, Pionex says the bot automatically closes and sells all positions locked by that Grid Trading strategy. It is not the same as profit per grid, and it does not guarantee a profitable final result.

Not sure which Pionex bot fits your plan?

If you are deciding whether Grid Bot is the right product before setting Take Profit, compare it with other Pionex bot families first. Answer seven quick questions about your experience, goal, market view, risk comfort and monitoring time.

What happens when the Take Profit price is reached?

The current Pionex Grid Trading Bot Help Center labels this advanced setting “Taking Profit Price (Close bot at).” When the trigger is reached, the bot stops the strategy and sells its locked positions. The final amount can still be affected by filled-order fees, spread, price movement during execution and the bot’s open position.

Do not confuse four different figures

TermWhat it means
Taking Profit PriceThe market price that triggers closure of the bot
Profit per gridThe estimated return associated with a completed grid interval
Grid ProfitProfit accumulated from completed grid buy-and-sell cycles
Total ProfitThe wider result that can include Grid Profit plus unrealized gain or loss

The older Pionex guide to grid profit and unrealized profit provides more background on the reporting terms. Always rely on the current values shown in your bot details when evaluating a live strategy.

How to choose a Take Profit level

  • Place the level in relation to the bot’s upper range, not as an isolated percentage.
  • Decide whether you want the bot to close completely or continue trading inside the range.
  • Review the asset that will be sold and the quote currency you expect to receive.
  • Allow for applicable fees, spread and possible execution differences.
  • Pair the setting with a separate downside plan. Take Profit does not protect you if price falls.

A Take Profit level should come from your strategy and risk plan, not from a promised return. Grid automation follows your settings consistently, even when those settings no longer match the market.

Frequently asked questions

Does Take Profit close the entire Pionex Grid Bot?

Yes. For the standard Grid Trading Bot, Pionex describes Taking Profit Price as a condition that closes the bot and sells all positions locked by the strategy when the price rises to that level.

Is Take Profit the same as profit per grid?

No. Take Profit is a price that closes the strategy. Profit per grid estimates the return associated with a completed buy-and-sell interval inside the configured range.

Can a Take Profit setting guarantee a profit?

No. Execution price, fees, spread, open positions and market movement can affect the final result. A label called Take Profit is a closing rule, not a guarantee.

How is Take Profit different from Stop Loss?

Take Profit closes the bot when price rises to the chosen level. Stop Loss is designed to close the bot at a lower protective level. Both require careful placement around the strategy range and risk plan.

Can I change Take Profit after starting a Grid Bot?

Available edit controls can vary by product and app version. Open the running bot’s settings to see which parameters are editable, and review the confirmation details before saving a change.
