Pionex Grid Profit, Unrealized Profit and Release Profit Explained

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Grid Profit describes completed grid gains. Unrealized profit or loss describes the changing value of the position still held. Release Profit is a separate available amount, so it should not be read as another name for the bot’s overall return.

Read the labels before adding the numbers

Label Reader’s question
Grid Profit What have completed grid cycles generated?
Unrealized profit or loss How has the remaining position changed in value?
Total Profit What is the combined result under this product’s calculation?
Release Profit What amount does the current bot allow me to release?

Positive grid gains can coexist with an overall loss

Suppose a simplified Spot Grid example has 12 USDT of grid gains and a 20 USDT unrealized loss. Combining those components gives minus 8 USDT. The positive first number does not cancel the larger loss. This is an illustration of the components, not a forecast or an account statement.

When reviewing actual figures, use the same bot, currency and moment in time. Read how the product treats fees and any released amounts so that you do not subtract costs or count a withdrawal twice.

Release Profit is not the same as closing the position

Use the amount and explanation displayed by your bot to check what is currently available. Do not assume every unit of Grid Profit can immediately be released, or that releasing an amount removes the market risk on the asset still held.

For a specific calculation mismatch, see why profit per grid differs from the whole-bot percentage. For the open-position concept, see unrealized profit explained. If the number changes between fills, read why Total Profit moves without a new trade.

⚠️ A positive realized component does not establish that your full position is profitable. Judge the combined result and remaining exposure.
