Frozen USDT on Pionex usually means the funds are occupied by a running bot, an unfilled manual order or another active account operation. The amount is part of your balance, but it cannot fund a new trade until the related order releases it.

Find which order is occupying the balance
| Platform | Current path |

| Website | Wallet > Overview > Primary Account > select USDT > Occupation |
| App | Account > Primary Account > Spot Balances > USDT > Occupation status |
Pionex’s support guidance lists running trading bots and manual buy or sell limit orders as common causes. Some other products can also occupy funds while an action is processing.
Total balance and available balance are different
Total USDT can include both available funds and amounts reserved for open activity. Available USDT is the part you can use for a new order, conversion or supported withdrawal. A larger total therefore does not prove the entire amount is immediately tradable.
How to release occupied USDT
- Open the occupation record and identify the exact bot or order.
- Check whether the order is open, processing, closing or completed.
- Cancel an unfilled manual order only if you no longer want it.
- For a bot, review its profit, positions and closing preview before stopping it.
- Wait for the cancellation or closing process to settle, then refresh the balance.
Closing a bot can change your asset mix, realize a loss or trigger a market conversion depending on the product and selected option. Do not close it merely because the funds are labeled frozen.
If the balance still does not become available
Refresh the account after the order has finished processing and compare the occupation record with order history. Pionex’s bot-error guide says an order stuck while opening or closing can be observed for up to one hour; contact Support with the account identifier and order screenshot if it remains stuck.
What not to do
- Do not create repeated orders while the same funds are occupied.
- Do not assume frozen means stolen or permanently unavailable.
- Do not stop a running strategy without checking the closing outcome.
- Do not share passwords or verification codes with someone offering to unlock the funds.

Frequently asked questions
What does frozen USDT mean on Pionex?
It means the USDT is occupied by an active bot, an unfilled manual order or another supported account activity, so it is not currently available for a new trade.
Where can I see what is using my USDT?
On the website, open Wallet, Overview and Primary Account, select USDT and choose Occupation. In the app, open Account, Primary Account, Spot Balances, USDT and Occupation status.
Does frozen mean my USDT is lost?
No. Frozen or occupied describes allocation, not disappearance. Confirm the related order and its status before taking action.
How do I release USDT from a manual order?
Cancel the unfilled order if you no longer want it. After cancellation is processed, the reserved amount should return to the available balance.
How do I release USDT from a trading bot?
Review the running bot and its closing preview. Closing or changing an order can affect positions, asset allocation and profit, so do not stop it only to free funds without checking the result.
Why is available USDT lower than total USDT?
Total balance can include amounts occupied by bots and orders, while available balance includes only the amount currently usable for a new action.
When should I contact Pionex Support?
Contact Support if no occupation record explains the balance, a canceled order does not release it after processing, or an order remains stuck or shows an error.
