Closing a Pionex Grid Bot stops the strategy and cancels its unfilled orders. Trades that already filled are not undone. What happens to assets the bot still holds depends on the closing option shown in the confirmation screen; “Release Profit” is not required to stop the bot.
What closing a Grid Bot changes
| Item | After you close the bot |
|---|---|
| Unfilled grid orders | The strategy stops and open orders are canceled |
| Completed trades | They remain part of the bot’s realized trading history |
| Assets held by the bot | Handled according to the closing choice displayed in the live confirmation screen |
| Profit locked in the bot | Becomes available with the rest of the bot’s released funds after closure |
Why you may see opened positions but no obvious closed position
A Spot Grid Bot does not treat every grid as one traditional “position.” It places individual buy and sell orders across the range. Check the bot’s transaction or order history for filled buy and sell orders, and separate Grid Profit from Unrealized Profit on assets currently held.
Release Profit does not close trades
“Release Profit” moves eligible profit out of a running bot. It does not cancel the strategy and is not the button used to close open orders. If your intent is to stop the bot, use its close or shut-down control and read every asset-conversion choice before confirming.
Use the live confirmation screen
Pionex products and interfaces change. Before closing, record the bot’s current assets, total profit, grid profit and unrealized profit. Then review whether the dialog offers to keep the held assets or convert them. Conversion at market price can add trading fees and slippage.
If closing remains stuck
Pionex’s current bot-error guide says an order stuck opening or closing can occur when a limit order cannot be placed during rapid price movement. It suggests observing for up to one hour and contacting support with your account details and an order screenshot if it continues.

Frequently asked questions
Does closing a Pionex Grid Bot cancel its open orders?
Yes. Closing stops the strategy and cancels its unfilled grid orders.
Are completed trades reversed when I close the bot?
No. Trades that already executed remain in the bot’s transaction history and are not undone.
Do I need to press Release Profit before closing the bot?
No. Release Profit is for moving eligible profit from a running bot; it is not required to stop the bot.
What happens to coins held by a Spot Grid Bot?
The result depends on the closing option shown in the live confirmation screen, such as keeping assets or converting them.
Why do I see Grid Profit but also an unrealized loss?
Grid Profit comes from completed grid pairs, while Unrealized Profit or Loss reflects the current value of assets still held by the bot.
Can closing a bot create another trading fee?
It can if the selected closing option converts held assets. Review the live confirmation for estimated conversion, fees and slippage.
What should I do if the bot is stuck closing?
Observe the order for up to one hour as Pionex advises, then contact Pionex Support with the order details and a screenshot if it remains stuck.
