You do not always need to close an Infinity Grid solely because it shows Grid Profit. First open that bot’s detail page and check whether a Release Profits action is available for the specific order. If no release action is available, the bot-controlled balance is returned only when the bot is closed.
Grid Profit can still be inside the bot
Grid Profit records gains from completed buy-and-sell grid cycles. It is realized strategy profit, but that does not automatically mean the amount is available in your free balance. A bot can still control that amount for orders or asset allocation.
| Display | What it means |
|---|---|
| Grid Profit | Profit from completed grid cycles |
| Unrealized Profit | Change in value of the asset still held |
| Total Profit | Grid Profit plus Unrealized Profit |
Use the current order screen as the final check
- Open the running Infinity Grid order.
- Review Grid Profit, Unrealized Profit and Total Profit separately.
- Look for an enabled Release Profits action.
- If it is missing or unavailable, open the close preview before making a decision.
- Confirm which assets will be returned and whether any conversion is offered.
Features can vary by bot type, order state and app version. Do not assume that a profit-release option described for another Grid Bot applies to an Infinity Grid order.
What closing the Infinity Grid does
Pionex’s Infinity Grid FAQ says canceling the bot stops it and cancels its grid orders. The remaining funds can stay in the base and quote currencies held at that moment. Closing therefore realizes access to the bot-controlled assets, but it does not necessarily convert every coin into USDT.
Check the net result, not Grid Profit alone
Positive Grid Profit can exist alongside negative Total Profit when the unrealized loss is larger. Review the asset quantities, current price, Total Profit and the closing preview before deciding whether releasing profit or ending the strategy matches your objective.
Read the current Pionex Infinity Grid FAQ. If profit is in an auto-reinvesting Spot Grid instead, see the separate auto-reinvesting FAQ.
Frequently asked questions
Can I release profit from an Infinity Grid without closing it?
Use the live bot detail as the final check. If it does not show an available Release Profits action for that order, the bot-controlled balance remains locked until you close it.
Does Grid Profit mean cash is already outside the bot?
No. Grid Profit is realized inside the strategy, but it can remain part of the bot-controlled balance until it is released or the bot is closed.
What happens when I close an Infinity Grid?
Pionex cancels the bot’s open grid orders and stops the strategy, then returns the remaining base and quote assets according to the close flow.
Will closing convert every coin to USDT?
Not necessarily. Pionex’s Infinity Grid FAQ says the assets can remain in their base-and-quote allocation, so review the live confirmation before closing.
Is Grid Profit the same as Total Profit?
No. Pionex defines Total Profit as Grid Profit plus Unrealized Profit, so the two numbers can differ.
Why can Total Profit be negative while Grid Profit is positive?
An unrealized loss on the asset held by the bot can be larger than the realized Grid Profit.
What should I record before closing the bot?
Save the Grid Profit, Unrealized Profit, Total Profit, asset balances and the final close preview so you can compare them with settlement.
