There is no fixed or guaranteed monthly return for an ETH/USDT Grid Bot. The old 8% to 15% estimate on this page was unsupported and has been removed. Your result depends on ETH’s price path, the range, grid count, investment, fees, running time and unrealized profit or loss.
Why one monthly average is misleading
Grid Bot earns from completed buy and sell pairs inside its configured range. One month can contain repeated volatility and many completed grids. Another can contain a strong trend, fewer reversals or a move outside the range. Those months are not comparable through one promised percentage.
The four numbers to review
| Metric | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Grid Profit | Realized profit from completed grid pairs |
| Unrealized PnL | Current gain or loss on ETH still held |
| Total Profit | Overall result after combining applicable profit components |
| APR | An annualized rate, not the cash return earned that month |
How to calculate your actual 30-day return
Choose a consistent 30-day start and end time. Divide the change in Total Profit by the capital allocated to the bot, then multiply by 100%. Account for added or withdrawn funds so the comparison is not distorted.
30-day return = change in Total Profit ÷ adjusted investment × 100%
What can improve or weaken the result?
- Price repeatedly crosses grid levels inside the range
- ETH remains within the upper and lower limits
- Per-grid profit exceeds applicable trading costs
- The number of grids and order size meet pair requirements
- Unrealized losses do not outweigh completed Grid Profit
Do not use APR divided by 12 as a forecast
APR changes with profit and running time. Dividing it by 12 may create a rough mathematical rate, but it does not account for what ETH actually does during the next month. Measure realized and total performance after the period instead.

Frequently asked questions
What is the average monthly return for an ETH/USDT Grid Bot?
There is no reliable fixed average that applies to every month or setup. Results depend on ETH’s price path, the selected range, grid count, capital, fees and running time.
Can an ETH/USDT Grid Bot lose money?
Yes. Completed grids may earn profit while the ETH held by the bot has a larger unrealized loss. Price can also leave the range and stop new grid activity.
Is 8% to 15% per month a realistic promise?
No. The old range previously shown on this page was unsupported and should not be treated as an expected or guaranteed return.
How do I calculate my bot’s monthly result?
For an actual 30-day period, divide the change in Total Profit by the capital allocated to the bot and multiply by 100%. Use the same start and end times and include relevant fees.
Is APR divided by 12 the same as monthly profit?
Not reliably. APR annualizes a changing pace, while your actual month includes the price path, unrealized PnL, deposits, withdrawals and fees during that period.
What market tends to create more grid fills?
Back-and-forth movement inside the configured range creates opportunities for completed grid pairs. A strong one-way move can reduce fills or create significant holding losses.
Should I choose ETH/USDT only because it had a good backtest?
No. A backtest describes a past period. Review current range assumptions, drawdown, fees and whether Grid Bot matches your market view before starting.
