Pionex’s current standard spot fee is 0.05% per executed trade, not 0.05% for an entire buy-and-sell cycle. A completed Grid Bot cycle normally contains a buy fill and a sell fill, so each leg is charged separately. Always confirm the rate shown in your account because fee schedules can change.
How the fee is calculated
The fee applies when an order executes. If a bot buys 1,000 USDT of an asset at a 0.05% rate, that fill costs 0.50 USDT. If it later sells 1,010 USDT at the same rate, the sell fill costs 0.505 USDT. The two fees are calculated from their respective fill values, so the exact round-trip cost is not always a flat percentage of the original investment.
What this means for a Grid Bot
A Grid Bot places multiple orders inside a chosen price range. Every filled order uses the applicable market fee. Grid profit should therefore be evaluated after fees, spread and any price impact—not from the grid spacing alone.
| Event | Fee treatment |
|---|---|
| Buy order fills | One trading fee is charged on that fill |
| Sell order fills | A separate trading fee is charged on that fill |
| Order remains unfilled | No execution fee is charged |
| Bot access | No separate bot subscription fee; normal trading fees still apply |
Do not confuse spot and futures costs
Spot Grid and Futures Grid do not have the same cost structure. Futures can use maker and taker rates and may also pay or receive funding while a position is open. Check the exact product, pair, order type, VIP level and live fee preview before starting.
How to check whether a grid is worthwhile
- Review the estimated profit per grid in the creation panel.
- Compare it with the fees on both legs of a completed grid.
- Allow for spread and price impact.
- Remember that total profit also includes unrealized gains or losses on assets held by the bot.
See Pionex’s current Grid Trading Bot guide. Treat the live fee shown in your Pionex account as the final source of truth.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 0.05% Pionex fee charged on both the buy and sell?
Yes. Under the current standard spot rate, each executed buy and each executed sell is a separate fee-bearing fill. A completed buy-and-sell cycle therefore has two fees.
Does a Grid Bot pay a fee on every order it places?
A trading fee applies when an order executes. An unfilled or canceled order does not create an execution fee.
Is the total fee exactly 0.10% of my original investment?
Not necessarily. The buy and sell fees are calculated from the value of each individual fill, and those values can differ as price changes.
Does Pionex charge a monthly fee for the Grid Bot?
Pionex does not charge a separate bot subscription fee. The normal trading fee still applies to every executed trade.
Are Spot Grid and Futures Grid fees the same?
No. Spot and futures can use different fee schedules, and futures positions may also pay or receive funding.
Can VIP status change my Pionex fee?
Fee treatment can depend on the current product and account tier. Confirm the rate displayed in your account before trading.
Should profit per grid be higher than the trading fees?
Yes. Evaluate estimated profit per grid after both fee-bearing legs, spread and price impact rather than comparing it with only one fee.
