A Pionex Futures screen showing up to 25x leverage does not guarantee that one account can open any position up to that theoretical size. The accepted order depends on the selected symbol’s current leverage and margin tier, your available margin, existing exposure, order quantity rules and the live risk-control message.

Leverage and position allowance are different
| Item | What it means | Why it can restrict the order |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum leverage | The highest leverage offered for an eligible notional tier | It can fall as position size rises |
| Notional value | Price multiplied by position quantity | It determines the applicable risk tier |
| Available margin | Eligible account equity not already reserved | Open positions and orders can reduce it |
| Order limits | Symbol-specific quantity and precision rules | The entered size may exceed the current rule |
| Maintenance margin | Minimum equity required to keep the position | Higher tiers can require a higher rate |
Why a screen can show 25x but reject a larger order
Twenty-five times leverage may apply only to the first notional tier for that market. Pionex publishes symbol-specific tier changes, and current tables show that the maximum leverage can step down when notional value increases. A value shown elsewhere in the interface may describe a market ceiling, not your remaining order capacity.
The old claim that futures trading is unavailable on Pionex is no longer correct. Pionex officially launched perpetual futures in 2023 and currently documents futures markets, leverage tiers and Futures Grid.
Check the live limit in this order
- Confirm the exact futures symbol and whether the order is USDT-margined or another product.
- Open the market’s Information section and read Leverage & Margin.
- Compare the proposed notional value with the tier table.
- Check available margin, current positions and open orders.
- Read the exact order validation message and reduce the size only if it matches your risk plan.
Do not solve every rejection by adding leverage
Higher leverage reduces the initial margin for eligible exposure but moves liquidation risk closer and does not override the tier table. A smaller position, lower leverage or no position can be the correct response when the requested exposure exceeds your risk limit.
Read what notional value means on Pionex, the current maintenance-margin guide and the selected market’s live Leverage & Margin table. Pionex states that published examples may not be the latest, so the app or website is the final source for current tiers.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t you open the full amount shown for Pionex Futures?
The displayed maximum leverage or theoretical notional is not a guaranteed order allowance. Symbol tiers, available margin, open exposure and order rules can reduce the accepted amount.
Does 25x leverage mean you can open any position up to 25 times your balance?
No. It describes the relationship between eligible margin and notional exposure within the current limits. Risk tiers and available margin still apply.
What is notional value in a futures position?
Notional value is the position size measured as price multiplied by quantity. It is different from the margin you contribute.
Why does maximum leverage fall for larger positions?
Pionex uses leverage and margin tiers. As notional value moves into a higher tier, the permitted maximum leverage can decrease and the maintenance requirement can rise.
Can open orders reduce the amount available for a new order?
Yes. Existing positions and open orders can reserve margin or count toward exposure, leaving less capacity for a new order.
Where can you check the current leverage and margin tier?
Pionex directs you to the selected futures market’s Information section and its Leverage & Margin table in the current app or website.
What should you send Support if the limit seems wrong?
Send the symbol, direction, leverage, order type, quantity, available margin, current position, open orders, exact error and a timestamped screenshot.
