A Pionex Grid Bot automatically completes buy-and-sell grid trades and records the resulting grid profit. You do not need to release profit for the bot to keep trading. “Release Profit” is an optional action that moves eligible profit out of the running bot; automatic reinvestment, if enabled and supported, uses a different workflow.
Three actions that are easy to confuse
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Grid profit | Records profit from completed buy-and-sell grid pairs |
| Release Profit | Moves eligible profit out of a running bot so it becomes available in your account |
| Take-profit price | Automatically closes the bot when the configured price condition is reached |
Do you have to release profit manually?
No. Releasing profit is not required for the Grid Bot to execute its next grid orders. It is a fund-management choice. The amount available to release can differ from the displayed grid profit because the bot still needs enough assets for pending orders and minimum order requirements.
What if automatic reinvestment is enabled?
For supported Grid Bots, Pionex can accumulate generated grid profit in a reinvesting section. Reinvestment happens only after the required threshold is reached. Profit already moved into that section may not be releasable while the bot is running, even after you switch the feature off; newly generated profit can become eligible after disabling it.
Take profit can close the bot automatically
The “Close bot at” take-profit setting is different from “Release Profit.” When its price condition is triggered, the current Spot Grid guide says the bot closes and sells positions locked by the strategy. Review the live confirmation screen before enabling it.
For the separate question about stopping a bot, see what happens to orders when a Pionex bot closes. Also review Pionex’s Auto Reinvesting FAQ.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Pionex Grid Bot realize profit automatically?
Yes. It automatically records grid profit when a buy-and-sell grid pair completes. This is separate from moving profit out of the bot.
Do I need to press Release Profit for the bot to continue?
No. Release Profit is optional and is not required for the Grid Bot to continue placing eligible grid orders.
What does Release Profit do?
It moves the amount currently eligible for release from the running bot to your available account balance.
Why can I not release all the grid profit shown?
Some funds may be needed for the bot’s pending orders or may already be in the automatic-reinvestment section.
Does automatic reinvestment happen after every profitable trade?
No. Supported Grid Bots accumulate profit and reinvest only after the required threshold and other conditions are met.
Is Take Profit the same as Release Profit?
No. Take Profit closes the bot when a configured price is reached; Release Profit moves eligible profit without necessarily stopping the bot.
Will releasing profit reduce the bot’s safety margin?
It can reduce funds available to the strategy in some products. Review the amount and warnings shown in the live bot controls before confirming.
