Pionex Infinity Grid can sell part of the coin as price rises and use quote currency to buy more as price falls. The target base-asset value describes how allocation is managed; it does not guarantee that the bot or account will retain that dollar value.
What the bot is trying to maintain
The published Infinity Grid design aims to retain a value of base asset as price rises. It does not promise that Total Profit stays constant. Both the base and quote portions remain exposed to trading outcomes and market price.
Simple directional example
| Price move | Typical allocation response | Main risk |
|---|---|---|
| Price rises through grids | Sells portions of base asset | May retain less coin quantity during a rally |
| Price falls through grids | Uses quote asset to buy more base | Accumulates an asset that may keep falling |
| Price falls below lower limit | Normal grid activity can pause | Large base-asset exposure remains |
Why “450 USDT of coin” is not protected
If the coin falls, buying more can restore allocation toward the design, but the combined strategy can still lose. Available quote currency, grid levels and the lower limit constrain the process.

Frequently asked questions
How does Infinity Grid maintain a coin value as price rises?
It can sell part of the base asset as its price rises so the strategy retains a designed value of base-asset exposure while also holding more quote currency.
What happens when the coin price falls?
The strategy can use available quote currency to buy more base asset at lower grid levels, increasing the coin quantity while its market value has fallen.
Does the target value guarantee account protection?
No. The target describes allocation behavior, not a floor on Total Profit. The combined holdings can still lose value.
What happens below the lower limit?
Normal grid trading can pause, and the strategy may hold substantial base asset while price continues falling.
Can the USDT reserve run out?
The bot allocates investment under its formula and order rules. A sustained decline can use more quote currency for buys until the lower-limit structure is reached.
Is Grid Profit the same as Total Profit?
No. Grid Profit reflects completed cycles, while Total Profit also reflects the changing value of the base asset still held.
What should you monitor?
Monitor current price, lower limit, base and quote holdings, open orders, Grid Profit, unrealized profit or loss, Total Profit and closing preview.
Allocation rules do not create a guaranteed value floor. The underlying coin can lose substantial value.
