Why Can Release Profit Be Higher Than Grid Profit?

Last updated: September 9, 2026

The amount available to release can include unused funds, so it should not automatically be read as completed trading profit. Pionex’s published explanations describe releases that include grid gains and unused reserve funds. The current bot’s breakdown determines what is available in your case.

Separate returned funds from earnings

Consider a hypothetical 12 USDT release made up of 4 USDT in grid gains and 8 USDT of unused funds. The transfer is 12 USDT, but it does not demonstrate 12 USDT of trading earnings. These figures illustrate the distinction; they are not a formula or reserve requirement.

Check the difference before acting

  1. Compare Grid Profit and the release preview for the same bot and currency.
  2. Read any explanation of unused or reserved funds.
  3. Review previous releases and the balance history.
  4. If the displayed breakdown does not explain the difference, ask Support to reconcile it using the bot ID and timestamp.

A larger release amount does not prove that the bot is more profitable, and it does not guarantee that the original deposit remains fully invested. Use the investment-value example to distinguish a transfer from the value left inside the bot.

This explains a possible source of the difference. It does not establish a universal reserve size, release threshold or calculation for every Pionex bot type.
