I just transfered XRP and USDT to Pionex for the Spot-Futures Arbitrage Bot. But apparently, the bot only requires USD. Does it mean I didn’t need to transfer my XRP to Pionex ?

I guess I could sell some of it for USDT to use it for the Spot-Futures Arbitrage Bot ?Does it also mean that a portion of the USDT that is used for the bot will be converted to XRP ? That would mean that you have to be careful when you start your bot. If the price is too high, it might not be a good time to start the bot.

Answer

Spot-Futures Arbitrage bot needs USDT to run, since it will timing its buying (which need to be the same with the futures position, or else you fail to arbitrage them)

The step for the SA Bots is it divide the USDT to Spot market and Futures market based on leverage ratio. Fund in the spot market will be used to buy token, meanwhile in the futures market it will be used to short the token with the same size with the Spot Market

for SA Bots, it doesnt really care about the token price, since it is hedging the position. You can start at wherever price, the most thing matters is the funding fee rates which will decide how many profits/loss you’ll gain every 8 hours
