Does anyone move their funds in and out of the grid trading bots often, or do you generally leave it until it hits some kind of return you are aiming towards (5% or 8% or whatever) and then close out your position and open a new bot?

There are multiple kinds of grid bot usage. Two of them is short term grid bot and long term grid bot. Usually, for short term trades, user will use narrow price range with small number of grid to catch volatility in short term. This yield the best result but too often market price will go out from their range. While for long term trades, user will use very wide price range with high number of grid and leave it running for months. You can choose which one you want to use based on your trading plans and strategies.
