Once a trading bot is running, I can not change the number of grids under "parameter'. Is that correct?

Yes it is true, after the bot running , you cannot change the parameters. Make sure before running the bot you have put the correct parameters. If you want to change the parameters, you need to stop the bot and re-run it with the new variables.
