I haven’t do long runtime on grids. but as long as the price keep fluctuate, that is where your grid profit comes from. only if you can handle the negative. so imo you can do on a coin that you trust. give it enough time for grid profit to cover the negative hodl value. then you can start making profits despite the fluctuations
or, start grid at the lowest price you can possibly get, so you can see yourself at profit and making grid profit.
for example XRP lowest is at 0.2$ and high at 1.9$-ish this year. so if i start at 0.2$ i can keep it running for a longer period cuz im relying on grid profit to increase while hodl value is still in positive and fluctuating.
