After depositing crypto on Pionex, first confirm that it is credited in your Primary Account. Then identify which asset you hold, decide whether you want to keep it, convert it, trade manually or use a bot, and review the exact risks before committing funds. A deposit does not automatically start trading or produce profit.
Step 1: verify the deposit
- Open the Primary Account and find the deposited asset.
- Check Deposit History for the amount and status.
- Confirm the network and transaction hash.
- Wait for the required confirmations if the deposit is still pending.
- Stop and troubleshoot before trading if the amount or asset is wrong.
Step 2: identify what you actually hold
The next action depends on the asset. A USDT-funded strategy needs available USDT. A Reverse Grid on ETH/USDT can use ETH as the base investment when that mode is available. If the bot requires another coin, review Spot or Convert before changing the asset.
Step 3: choose the action
| Action | What it does | Main check |
|---|---|---|
| Hold | Keeps the deposited asset unchanged | Asset-price risk remains |
| Spot or Convert | Changes the asset or places a manual order | Price, spread, fee and order status |
| Spot bot | Automates a defined strategy | Pair, parameters, minimum and exit behavior |
| Futures product | Adds directional contract exposure | Leverage, funding and liquidation risk |
Step 4: check available balance and live minimum
A total balance is not always tradeable. Existing bots and open orders can occupy funds. The live creation screen shows the required investment asset and minimum for the selected parameters. Do not alter a strategy only to force it below an arbitrary budget.
Step 5: define the exit before starting
Record the purpose, maximum acceptable loss, review date and closing behavior. Monitor Total Profit and current holdings, not only completed bot transactions.
Use Pionex’s deposit-status guide and bot balance troubleshooting guide. The broader Pionex Beginner Guide owns the full registration-to-first-bot workflow.
Frequently asked questions
What should you do first after depositing crypto on Pionex?
Confirm that the deposit is credited in your Primary Account and that the asset, network, amount and transaction record match what you sent.
Do you have to start a trading bot after depositing?
No. You can keep the asset, use Spot, convert it or create an available bot. Choose an action only after defining the purpose and acceptable loss.
Can every deposited asset fund every Pionex bot?
No. Each bot and pair requires specific investment assets. For example, a quote-funded Spot Grid may require USDT, while Reverse Grid can accept the base asset for a supported pair.
Why does Pionex say there is not enough balance?
The required investment coin may differ from the coin you hold, the tradeable amount may be below the live minimum, or funds may already be occupied by another bot or order.
How do you choose a first Pionex bot?
Start with your market view, asset-holding goal, time horizon, risk limit and monitoring ability. Then compare the live parameters and exit behavior.
Should you invest the full deposited amount immediately?
No. Keep enough uncommitted capital for fees, mistakes and changing plans. Use only an amount whose potential loss you can accept.
Does depositing money mean it will automatically earn profit?
No. A deposit only funds the account. Holding, manual trading and bots all remain exposed to market, execution and strategy risk.
