Why are some manual traders in cryptocurrency succesful when automated trading bots could do the same, but possibly faster and better?

Answer

Because there are hundreds and hundreds of trades happening every second. Bots are able to trade faster yes, but many times we as humans react as well. So there is also a psycological aspect that even a trading bot will never understand.
