For Pionex Spot Grid, “Close bot at” is a take-profit price: when the market reaches it, the bot automatically closes and sells the positions locked by the strategy. It is not the same as manually stopping a bot and choosing what to do with the remaining assets.
What “Close bot at” does
Pionex documents this control under the Spot Grid Bot’s advanced settings as Taking Profit Price (Close bot at). When the selected price is reached, the bot stops its grid strategy and sells the positions locked by that strategy.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Price reaches “Close bot at” | The Spot Grid Bot closes automatically and sells its locked positions |
| Price leaves the grid range | The bot normally pauses new grid execution until price returns; it does not close solely because price is out of range |
| You stop the bot manually | You review the closing choices shown in the live confirmation screen |
Take profit and stop loss both close the strategy
Spot Grid also supports a stop-loss price. Pionex says the bot automatically closes and sells its locked positions when that lower condition is reached. The difference is the direction and purpose of the trigger, not whether the bot closes.
Costs and execution still matter
The final sale may execute at the available market price. Trading fees, spread, liquidity and rapid price movement can make the final result differ from the trigger price or the profit shown before closure. Review the live confirmation and transaction history rather than assuming the exit is cost-free.
When manual closure is the better question
If you are stopping the bot before its automatic trigger, the relevant issue is what the current closing dialog lets you do with held assets. Read what happens when you manually close a Pionex Grid Bot.
See Pionex’s current Grid Trading Bot guide for the documented advanced settings.
Frequently asked questions
Does Close Bot At sell all coins held by a Pionex Spot Grid Bot?
Pionex says the setting closes the bot and sells all positions locked by the Spot Grid strategy when the chosen price is reached.
Is Close Bot At the same as leaving the grid range?
No. A Spot Grid Bot normally pauses outside its range and resumes if price returns. Close Bot At is a separate automatic closing condition.
Is Close Bot At a take-profit setting?
Yes. Pionex labels it Taking Profit Price (Close bot at) in the Spot Grid Bot’s advanced settings.
What does the Spot Grid stop-loss price do?
When the stop-loss price is reached, Pionex says the bot automatically closes and sells the positions locked by the strategy.
Will the final sale equal the trigger price exactly?
Not necessarily. Market execution, liquidity, spread and rapid price movement can affect the final fill.
Does closing create trading fees?
A sale used to convert the bot’s held assets can create trading fees. Check the transaction record for the actual fills and costs.
How is manual bot closure different?
Manual closure starts from the bot controls and may show asset-handling choices. Read the live confirmation screen before approving it.
