There are 2 ways of opening a trade . limit order and market order , when setting up the bot and you create without a trigger price there is room for slippage since you are taking off the market hence there best price available is what would be given. so splillage control is to control and get the best possible price off the market . imagine starting your bot at 45000 but when bot finally started starting price was 45500. thats slippage and slippage control helps minimize that
