What Happens to Grid Orders When You Stop a Pionex Bot?

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Stopping a Pionex Grid Bot cancels the bot’s pending grid orders. The remaining funds are then handled through the closing option you choose. You cannot simply change the trading pair while keeping the same grid strategy and accounting.

Where the allocated funds sit

State Purpose
Base asset held Available for future sell grids
Quote asset held Available for future buy grids
Pending orders Reserved at active grid levels
Fee or strategy reserve Supports execution and bot requirements

Seeing many orders in the Placed tab does not mean the same funds are counted repeatedly. The bot allocates portions across active levels and held assets.

What Stop Bot does

  1. Stops normal grid operation.
  2. Cancels pending grid orders.
  3. Calculates the assets and funds remaining.
  4. Shows currently available closing or conversion options.
  5. Returns the resulting assets after confirmation and execution.

Why changing the pair requires a new decision

A new pair changes both assets, liquidity, spread, minimum investment, range and risk. Record the old bot’s final state, then evaluate and create the new strategy separately. Do not assume settings that fit one pair fit another.

Final value can differ from initial USDT

The bot may hold a different mix of the two assets when stopped. Market prices, completed Grid Profit, unrealized PnL, fees and conversion execution determine the final currency value.

Frequently asked questions

Are all funds in a Grid Bot placed in pending orders?

Not at the same time. Funds can be held as the base asset, quote asset, pending orders, fee reserve or other strategy reserve according to the live bot.

What happens to pending orders when you stop the bot?

The bot cancels its pending grid orders. The closing flow then handles the remaining base and quote assets according to the option you select.

Can you cancel only some grid orders and change the pair?

Do not treat a running Grid Bot like independent manual orders. To change the pair, you normally stop the current strategy and create a new bot for the new pair.

Can you keep the coin when stopping?

The live closing screen may offer a keep-assets option or a conversion option. Read the exact preview before confirming.

Does stopping return the initial USDT amount?

Not necessarily. Final value depends on current holdings, asset prices, Grid Profit, unrealized PnL, fees and any closing conversion.

Why are there 55 to 99 orders in the Placed tab?

Grid count creates many price levels, but not every level necessarily holds the same amount or remains active at once. Review the bot detail and pending-order records.

What should you record before changing pairs?

Record investment, holdings, pending orders, Grid Profit, unrealized PnL, Total Profit, fees and the stop preview, then compare the new pair independently.

Review the live closing preview before cancelling orders or converting holdings.
