I have an eth margin grid bot running already. I just deposited more eth from coinbase.

If I use the “add margin” function, is that the same as just starting a new margin grid bot with the newly-deposited eth? Is there any benefit to adding it to the current running bot?

It looks like I can still withdraw what I just added, so it’s an option to restart a new one. Is there any reason to do that if I like how my current bot is operating?

Answer

When you add more ethereum to your running margin grid bot it means you are only reducing your liquidation risk. the leverage doesnt affect the new ethereum funds added. so if you want the leverage affect the new funds you would have to create a new bot
